This page explains what Orchestra Reel stores about you and where your audio goes. Orchestra Reel is operated by its owner, who you can reach at [email protected]. The app runs atapp.orchestrareel.com; this website is orchestrareel.com.
Signing in with Google
Sign-in is with Google only. When you sign in, we keep the account id, email address, name and profile picture that Google sends us. We use them to recognise you when you come back and to show your name and picture in the app.
The session cookie
After you sign in, the app sets one cookie, called __Host-session. It holds a random token that keeps you signed in and nothing else. It expires after 30 days without a visit, and signing out deletes it. The app sets no other cookies.
Your uploads
The recording you upload, the separated stems and the detected instruments are stored privately for as long as the song exists in your library. Nobody else can play them unless you create a share link. Deleting the song deletes them, and deleting your account deletes all of them.
A share link lets anyone who has it play that concert, read-only, until you revoke the link or delete the song.
Instrument detection by MVSEP
To find the instruments, the recording is sent to MVSEP (mvsep.com), a separation service that processes it on our behalf. MVSEP is operated from Uzbekistan and stores files at Hetzner in Germany; part of the processing happens outside the European Economic Area. MVSEP deletes the uploaded recording after one day. The separation results are deleted there when we ask for it, which we do once we have them, or after three days at the latest.
Your audio is never used for training, by us or on our behalf.
Rendered videos
When you ask us to email you a video, we render it on a computer we control, store the file for seven days so you can download it, and then delete it. We send one email per render, to the address of your Google account, through Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), which sends the email on our behalf. Deleting the song or your account deletes its videos at once.
Analytics
The app has no analytics. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account on the account page in the app. This deletes your songs, uploads, share links and the sign-in data we hold about you.
Takedown requests
If a recording was uploaded without the rights holder's permission, write to[email protected] with the share link or the song title, and it will be taken down.
